Royal Variety Concert 1980

Olivia is rightly very proud of this performance - it was a triumphant return to Australia to perform at the Sydney Opera House in front of the Queen  of England.

Olivia receive a very warm welcome home from the crowd, during one appluase you can see she is visibly touched - she puts her hands over her mouth. Wonderful live performance too!

Olivia was in good company with host Bert Newton, John Farnham, Peter Allen, Paul Hogan, Julie Anthony and Helen Reddy. But Olivia was the star that year leading the grand finale of Waltzing Matilda, joined by a 400 voice choir and the other performers. It was also a proud night for the late Peter Allen when himself, Olivia and the other performers sang his self-penned I Still Call Australia home. Peter Allen, of course, wrote Olivia's hit I Honestly Love You.
