Toomorrow review

The idea is to discover galactic sound, as some beings from Outer Space are dissatisfied with their own astral form of pop and hope Toomorrow will be able to sort it out for them.

This involves some whisking round in spacecraft, as well as planning a sit-in at the London music college where the group are studying, though their protest is conducted in a very amiable kind of way.

Nor is that all; they are also anxiously rehearsing for their appearance at a pop festival at the Round House, which is to be their Big Chance.

Toomorrow play themselves Olivia Newton-John, Benny Thomas, Vic Cooper, and Karl Chambers and a charming group, they are, so natural in their ways before the camera (which I am afraid can’t be said of all the pop stars who have had a go at film).

Margaret Nolan drops in from Outer Space for some lessons in seduction (no、longer practised where she comes from), which she obtains by studying a movie called “Son of Fanny Hill.” After that she goes to work very enthusiastically.

Roy Dotrice is the anchor man, called on to provide a little supernatural power any time it’s needed.
