Tomorrow Did Not Come

“TOOMORROW,” said the pop experts, “will be the group of tomorrow to really make it big.” But tomorrow never came.

Toomorrow, the “instant pop group,” were last year tipped to take over where the Monkees left off.

The premiere of a planned series of films was ill-fated, and the result was that the group disbanded.

But, like the Monkees, one of the Toomorrow group has been given a big chance following the split.

Pretty Olivia Newton-John has a solo career which is flourishing.

Television viewers have seen her on Cliff Richard’s Saturday show and last week she flew to the Continent to go on tour with Cliff, and Marvin, Welch and Farrar.

Cliff asked Olivia to appear on his show after they combined their voices for a duet on the flip side of one of his records.

Olivia, who is engaged to Bruce Welch, has a record in the Melody Maker top 30 this week. She is slotted at number 26, after coming in from nowhere, with the record originally recorded by Bob Dylan, “If Not For You.”
