Olivia Knows How To Get Her Man

I SUPPOSE it is only to be expected in these violent times - a MURDER being offered as the theme for a song.

Lovely OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN is seeking a quick return to the charts after her success with “If Not For You.” She comes up with a complete contrast to that number with the traditional song, “Banks of the Ohio.”

This is perfect example in song of “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” because we find the lovely Olivia standing on the river bank with a knife pressed against her lover’s chest.

You see, he wouldn’t marry her, and Olivia, being a do-it-yourself type, didn’t bother to ask daddy to fetch his shotgun…

Actually, this is avery intriguing nu mber brilliantly handled by the talented Olivia; and as it is wrapped around a catchy refrain I think it could click.

Having said that; I must add that I hope that young ladies will not latch on to the idea of having assassinations instead of assignations on river banks with their boy friends. (PYE.)
