Recently, there are rumours again that Cliff Richard had a very specific girl in mind for this song: Olivia Newton-John.
If you observe Cliff and Olivia at parties, in cosy restaurants, or on Cliff’s TV show, then it seems clear: the two are in love.
But if you are to believe Olivia, then this appearance is deceptive: “People just put two and two together. Maybe because Cliff doesn’t have a girlfriend,” says the singer, who has another hit song after “What is Life.”
