No men for Olivia [to sing to in Sacha's audience]

Getting second-top bil-ling to Sacha Distel may seem like a dream come true for any girl. But Olivia Newton-John did just that at London’s Prince of Wales Theatre and found the gig produced some hang-ups.

Over a glass of lager, she explained: “As a girl, I look for men in the audience to play to. So with a Sacha show, you look and look and look. First ten rows all ladies!”

And ladies, what’s more, with a tendency to put on knowing looks and dream up romantic entanglements between Sacha and Olivia. “In fact,” she assured me, “Sacha is an extremely shy man.”
