Sounds Like les Dawson TV show, guest star Olivia Newton-John
THAT lugubrious laddie from Lancashire, Les Dawson, returns to ITV tonight at 8.00 in an hour-long special in which there is more melody and mirth than ever only this time the mirth is all about the melody as well.
In Sounds Like Les Dawson, Les sets the theme of the show at the piano, with the lively, lissome Second Generation in a pulsating opening song and dance routine.
And by the time Les, the kids, his special guest star Olivia Newton-John, not to mention his old mates Roy Barraclough and John Gower, and man-mountain Colin Prince, have finished with the show, it could still be a musical world but.. well, everyone knows what a heck of a mess the world is in today.
