Have You Never Been Mellow review
“Have You Never Been Mellow,” Olivia Newton John (MCA)-
Just when the demure little Aussie lass is lulling you to sleep with too much of the soft sounds, along comes something like “Water Under the Bridge” to make you say, “sing it, Olivia.”
She takes producer John Farrar’s title song and has it on the charts as a hit. But perhaps she’s too mellow through much of Side One.
Try Side Two which starts with “It’s So Easy” and it’s so easy to see what gives Olivia her charming vocal qualities.
