album review Have you Ever (sic) Been Mellow
OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN: Have You Ever Been Mellow (EMI)
Two 1975 Grammy Awards, for the best single I Honestly Love You, and Top Female Vocalist, and a chart-topper in the States, but record buyers and the industry alike still don’t seem to fully appreciate Olivia in Britain. Which is a shame cause she’s a lovely person who has the advantage of being able to sing well. As witness this her latest album.
John Farrar Rick Nelson John Denver Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood and Bruce Welch and John Rostill are all represented among the composers credits which ain’t a bad list by anyone’s standards.
The package is produced by Mr Farrar and released at a time when Olivia is being widely spoken about sales may also be helped by the fact that the record is extremely good.
