Police Put Guard On Olivia's Home
SINGER Olivia Newton John has had a police guard put on her home in Malibu Beach, California.
The police believe Olivia may be the target of a frustrated songwriter who has been sending her letters, telegrams and cheques for tens of thousands of dollars.-An d they think the secret admirer he signs his letters Jesus - may turn killer.
The story was told by the singer’s sister Rhona who arrived back in Britain yester-day after staying ng in in Malibu Beach while Olivia was on tour. She said: “It was horrifying. I think he thought I was Olivia. She had received a couple of letters before she went away.”
“While I was there, another four arrived plus telegrams, one of which said Are you alive in there’.”
The man also made telephone calls and sent two cheques one for 50,000 dollars and the other for 10,000 dollars, she added.
“He even sent a photograph and I’m sure he was the man who was watching me on the beach one day.”
Rhona’s husband, songwriter Graham Hall, said: “Police say he is the man who broke into Princess Grace’s palace in Monaco some time ago.”They say he could be very dangerous. He comes from a wealthy family, but he is a nutter.”
