Don't Stop Believin' album review
The same can’t be said for Olivia Newton-John’s latest, DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’ (MCA-2223). It’s more of the same saccharine, sloshy Olivia, drooling about boyfriends and baby love.
This woman’s music continues to be the same neatly packaged commercial bunk that fits perfectly the teeny-bop Top 40 formula and manufactures mine illat we haven’t heard a zillion times.
One has to admit that Olivia delivers an exceptionally touching performance on “Sam,” but the rest of this album leaves little to be imagined or desired.
