DEAR DICK: Several people have told me that Olivia Newton-John is gay, and that she stated she was. Is there any truth in it? I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about it. LORI COFFEY, Eureka, Calif.
You certainly are not the only one. Many letters have come in, curious about Olivia's sexual habits. And they all seem to have begun soon after Olivia appeared on the Tonight show, last February. Even though her appearance was innocent that night, the rumors began, insisting she had said (a) she is gay, (b) she had an affair with Helen Reddy and (c) she is engaged to Kate Jackson. She said none of those things and they are all just utter nonsense.
Olivia is very normal in her appetites and, as a matter of fact, at the time of that Tonight appearance she was living with her then-boy friend, Lee Kramer.
