Well, let's get back to professional matters after this. In music, you've achieved almost everything today. What do you think about the future?

I haven't achieved everything, or at least I don't feel that way. Of course, I've earned a lot of money, I have gold records and other worldly recognition for my work, but as an artist I'm still at the beginning of my journey.

It seems a bit exaggerated. Can you elaborate?

I mean, when I started out, I was one of the girls in a group who sang with the others. When I moved to England, I was made into one of the many pretty girls who, thanks to the big boys, even got to sing on a record, but whose best part was performing in good-looking clothes. Then when I moved to America and became successful, I was labeled a country girl and real country fans considered it sacrilege.

After changing my style towards pop music, I was not completely accepted there either. Now I have tried my to spread my wings with films and received fairly good reviews. My album sales have never been this good. My tours, where I perform... um... without Travolta... are also selling well. Maybe I am now more widely accepted than ever. But now I want to develop and show that my former critics were wrong. I want to show that the little pretty girl who few believed in will be a good entertainer who does not fit any label or who can adopt any aspect of anything

So your goal is to become a female Elvis?

If that means comparing yourself to his professionalism and versatility, then yes. Note - I didn't say that I am like Elvis professionally! Whether I will ever become a singer like him is another matter.

After that statement, it seemed natural that your interest would be focused on film after this, because that is where you have the least experience. Is this true?

In a way it is. Or let's say half. I am also very interested in my own show and its development. As I said, an entertainer is a performer who must not remain just a mere image on film, but must also demonstrate that he or she can entertain the public live. That is why tours and Las Vegas-type performances will be a regular part of my repertoire in the near future. But film work interests me of course and discussions are currently underway about an interesting English film project called Street Messiah. If those plans come to fruition, I will be acting with John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen and I really hope to get that chance!

Your ambition and determination really impress me, if I may say so. Is this perhaps the reason why the marriage market doesn't seem to be opening up for any man for you?

The market! What a saying! No... I don't know or can't say. I am really interested in my work at the moment and therefore I feel that marriage is not yet the right state for me. And it is in this place and at this moment that I can assure you that I want to get married when I know that I have the right man with whom I want to have children.

Namely, marriage is essential for children. They need a good start, a safe home, real parents. And I really love children and want to have many of them. However, I have promised myself that if... no, when the time comes, I must have the opportunity to give my children the same childhood as my own parents did. That is, a balanced and happy one. Then they will have the provisions for their lives.

Or they can also rise to become a superstar like you!

A silly remark, if I may say so. Being a superstar means nothing compared to being able to be in balance with yourself and enjoy your life outside of all the fuss that goes with this stardom and work. That is the goal that I would like future children to achieve, because - thank God - that is exactly what happened to me.
