Olivia Sells, Totally Hot video
Olivia Newton-John may have become an instant movie star as a result of her Capri-pants performance Grease, but in the next few weeks she’ll be playing more theaters than when that film was in full release and she’s not even getting billing.
Miss Newton-John is the latest pop singer to take advantage of the newest tool of the record industry mini-movies of mini-concerts, which are in effect commercials to promote record sales.
“Totally Hot” is the name of Miss Newton-John’s film, which cost as much per minute to produce as the average motion picture. The promo piece is being released to theaters and television to coincide with her new single of the same name Whether the name fits the product remains to be seen.
