This lady has a habit. She takes skyrocket dreams then makes them come true.

She's a platinum lady whose albums sell in lots of millions; a new-to-the-game actress whose one film, Grease, is the most successful movie musical, ever; a public woman there, totally sensational, (in Halston Originals star-burst silver and gold) who lands labels such as nice-pretty-open-wholesome... who carries them off... and carries them proudly.

This month, Olivia Newton-John has new-movie Xanadu: a fantasy musical full of "glitz" (their word for it), glitter, color: Electric Light Orchestra new music and big old-fashioned production numbers. Olivia roller skates (I took a crash course... literally) and dances out every woman's fantasy with Gene Kelly: plays a muse, an inspiration, a woman who's timeless.

We all like to do things for other people, says Olivia. To be able to grant wishes is rather wonderful.

That's a dream-maker. In show business, people say star.
