A new friend Olivia?
Translation from Dutch
Olivia Newton-John isn't the type to sit back and do nothing. She didn't do that after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, Lee Kramer, either. Quite the opposite... Olivia is living life to the fullest.
And luckily, she has plenty of friends to help her along.
Life is fantastic. And I want to enjoy it to the fullest,
says a cheerful Olivia Newton-John, who has already completely recovered from the difficult period she went through after things went wrong between her and Lee Kramer, partly helped by the success of Xanadu and a number of good friends.
Her Xanadu co-star Michael Beck is one of those friends. But although Michael is a regular visitor to her ranch near Los Angeles, a steady relationship does not fit into Olivia's plans for the time being. She prefers to wait and see what happens first.
And she certainly will not say no when other attractive men want to take her out.
For example, she recently turned up in the New York Roxy roller disco, led by a very Italian-looking hero.
Olivia and Matt Lattanzi were having a blast on the roller skates. Later that day, Matt also accompanied her to a fashion show at a large New York department store, where she was the guest of honor.
And not only that. She even walked a short distance in the show, to loud applause from the assembled audience.
In America, Olivia is truly adored. There, she hasn't been out of the spotlight since Grease.
The success of Xanadu only added to that. Olivia's enchanting appeal to the public has nothing to do with simple admiration, but everything to do with Magic.
