Xanadu. Directed by Robert Greenwald. Starring Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly and Michael Beck (CIC)
YOU SEE, Liv’s this muse, see, the daughter of Zoos (well, that’s how they say it), and she comes down to earth on roller-skates and makes everyone sort of sad, see, and then happy again. That’s right - it’s complete bollocks. The videos on TOTP every week are masterpieces compared to this complacent, out-to-lunch rubbish. It’s the worst film I’ve never seen - I kept my eyes closed and didn’t miss a thing.
