Olivia Newton-John article

Translation from German:

Dream meeting in Hollywood with Otto presentation: what Susann Lütthans (17) from Hamburg experienced with her favorite star and what she discovered in the flickering metropolis...

Who is this girl with the short, dark hair, is it supposed to be Olivia Newton-John?

In her astonishment, 17-year-old Hamburg native Susann Lütthans almost forgets to hand the BRAVO Gold Otto she brought with her to the formerly light-blonde Xanadu star.

Olivia laughs. I had to bleach my hair for the movie 'Xanadu,' she explains at the dream meeting in her Hollywood office. Now I'm wearing my natural color again. The advantage of the new hairstyle is that people on the street don't recognize me immediately any more. Now I can finally go shopping without being stopped all the time. But when these pictures appear in BRAVO, it will probably start all over again...

During the course of the conversation, Susann touches on a sore spot. Olivia suddenly exclaims in horror: Man, are you really not a journalist? You get straight to the point.

The reason for the excitement is that Susann asked Olivia about her current boyfriend, Matt Lattanzi. I'm very happy, Olivia deflects. But let's talk about something else...

Of course, Susann doesn't let Olivia go without promising to be seen by her German fans on the next world tour. Susann's curiosity is satisfied, but not her thirst for adventure, which now leads her on a dream rendezvous tour of a special kind: criss-crossing America's most famous film set, Hollywood, and right into the realm of Mickey Mouse — Disneyland.

Through the telescope at the Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood Hills look like a miniature landscape. After Susann learns that James Dean filmed his film For They Know Not What They're Doing there, she takes a particularly close look at everything.

Shortly thereafter, Susann herself finds herself standing down on the famous Hollywood Boulevard, where crazy-dressed characters are just as much at home as the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Marilyn Monroe, who (as a wax figure) waits for an audience in front of a movie theater.

The highlight of the boulevard, however, lies on the street, or rather on the sidewalk. For there, in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, many famous Hollywood stars have immortalized their hand and footprints in the freshly poured cement.

Naturally, Susann also can't resist following in the footsteps of John Travolta, Barbra Streisand, and other Hollywood greats.

In the fantasy world of Disneyland, horse-drawn trams and jungle-tested boats move through the artificially magical world: past shops like bakeries, glassworks, and souvenir shops, along impressive fantasy castles, and deep into the wildest jungle. One thing is guaranteed: you're sure to encounter Mickey Mouse and his gang somewhere.

Susann especially enjoys the ride through the Small World. There, dolls from all over the world appear in colorful costumes, singing the melody It's a Small World.
