Seven Spends $80,000 To Put On Olivia Show
MUSICALLY, there is almost something on for everyone Channel 7 tomorrow night.
First up, at 7.30, is Olivia in Concert, a two-hour special made during Olivia Newton-John’s “physical” tour of the US last year.
The program cost Seven more than $80,000, a record outlay by an Australian chan-nel for a variety program.
It will be screened in simulcast with 2DAY–FM, with songs including I Honestly Love You, Jolene, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Xanadu, Make a Move on Me, and Physical. There’s also a video clip of her latest single Tied Up (In Promises) which has its world premiere on the show.
Then, at 9.30, Luciano Pavarotti fans get an-other chance to see this great singer performing in a special called Luciaпо Pavarotti’s Royal Gala Performance.
This was filmed during the Italian tenor’s concert at the Royal Albert Hall in the pre-sence of the Queen Mother earlier this year.
Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Pavarotti sings popular arias from Donizetti’s Lucia Di Lammermoor, Puccini’s Tosca and Frederico’s Lament.
