Grease Broadway 20th Anniversary

Re-United To Celebrate The 20th Anniversary Of The Original Broadway Hit Musical "Grease" - John Travolta And Olivia Newton-John

Over 200 celebrities from the cast of the cult movie Grease and its original Broadway stage production re-lived the glory of the rock ‘n’ roll Fifties during a three-day extravaganza.

The colourful celebration was held in the Sheraton Universal in Los Angeles, to mark the 20th anniversary of the opening of Grease on Broadway.

It was to become the longest running rock musical in Broadway history, with a record of 3,388 performances. The movie which followed it, six years later, was also a huge success.

To commemorate this rock sensation, the celebrations included a Fabulous dinner/dance with the members of both historic casts jitter-bugging to rock music and wearing Fifties’ clothes.

Present at this nostalgic party, were the stars of the film John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Both have moved on since their success in Grease John in many movies, the latest of which is The Tender, and Olivia in the fashion business and in environmental politics.

For most, however, they will be remembered as the stars of that sensational Seventies rock hit.
