“A dripping tap can waste up to 7,000 litres of water a year. That’s equivalent to 700 toilet flushes or 82 baths. Remember, if it’s a hot water tap that’s dripping, it’s your money that’s leaking away. Please don’t leak!”
But in Olivia Newton-John’s opinion, “There’s nothing worse than dropping litter. Keep the streets clean and stop before you drop!”
Hynde is keen to promote free range eggs “The chicks will love you for it!” Jenny Seagrove is all for turning off household appliances when not in use, and Marie Helvin says buy organically grown vegetables. It’s quality, not quantity that counts when recycling paper, reveals Jeff Goldblum, and Jerry Hall wants people to take a shower and not a bath - it uses half the water!
Paul McCartney summed up the general feeling of those taking part in the campaign: “Think globally, act locally.”
