If every human being is entitled to one major character flaw, you can’t hold it against someone for counting an Olivia Newton-John single among his or her guilty pleasures.
Me, I found “Physical” a heady blend of dancercise and horizontal bopping, even if its retro-disco beat does sound increasingly primitive these days (though I still wouldn’t turn my back on anyone who admits going all gushy over “Sam”).
“Back to Basics” compiles all of Livvie’s hits, together with four new numbers in the same have-you-never-been-mellow vein. But… essential? Not.
