Looking great with Olivia

Matching your personality with the right exercise may be the key to finding a sport you’ll enjoy doing for life. I jog. which, according to Californian research, means that I tend to focus on individual achievement.

keeping secrets

How many people can you trust to keep a secret? I have a few close friends who I know will keep my closest secrets. But some people just can’t keep quiet because they have an incredible urge to tell the world. Apparently, it’s like a status symbol because they know something others don’t, and it gives them a sense of importance to spread the word.

A few words of advice: keep mum about everything unless you can trust the person 100 per cent.

In summer, I change my daily beauty routine just as I change the sort of clothes I wear. I usually opt for a light, tinted moisturiser with sun protection rather than a heavier base foundation. If you don’t like wearing tinted moisturisers then choose an oil-free foundation. If I feel I need it, I will use a little concealer for any trouble spots (we won’t go into detail about those!).

If your cheeks are naturally rosy, then try skipping the blusher, and even experiment with dyeing your eyelashes at a beauty salon. The effect should last about six weeks.

harmful heels

I’m not the type to teeter around all day in a pair of tall stiletto heels. Flat, comfortable shoes are my preference. If I’m off to a party then I may opt for a fun pair of strappy sandals, but even they won’t be too high. I’m on my feet all day and need practical shoes that can go the distance with comfort.

High heels may make your legs look longer and thinner, but podiatrists warn they can contribute to knee, back and walking problems, and even to shortened calf muscles. So how high is too high? Experts say a heel higher than 4cm can affect your health. Stiletto heels can make ankles unstable, and ultimately lead to Achilles tendonitis, bunions, callouses and pain in the ball of the foot.
