A wonderful performance for the television show in Japan called Songs.

Tonight on Songs you'll be hearing lots of my songs. Hope you enjoy it. - Olivia at the beginning of the show

Olivia opens with Have You Never Been Mellow which is very popular in Japan (as well as elsewhere). There's also a lovely rendition of Physical, the samba (slower) version, which works well in a TV studio, better in my opinion than in concert where I feel most of the audience would prefer the original version. Olivia is accompanied by a full orchestra which really adds to her performance. There are English subtitles of the lyrics for the Japanese audience.

Olivia is interviewed in a lovely park and in the studio. The narrator runs through Olivia's career asking her questions and showing footage and photos from her career. Olivia's answers are in English with Japanese subtitles. Olivia is asked about her concert after the September 11 tragedy. Olivia remembers having to drive there, separated from her band, as there were no planes. They had a minute of silence to remember the dead and there was a feeling of unity. This was Victoria Theatre Dayton, OH Sept 13th 2001 on her 2001 tour.

Chloe is also interviewed briefly as she is joining Olivia on her Japanese tour. Chloe and Olivia meet a cute dog in the park that they pet and speak to the owners.

There's also brief footage of Olivia at the launch of her Japanese 40/40 compilation album release. During this launch we are shown a snippet of Olivia performing the original version of Physical.
