The Answer To Cancer

The Answer To Cancer was a nine-episode film project exploring recent conventional and alternative treatment options for those facing the disease. It was livestreamed over the internet, this episode featured Olivia and husband John Easterling.

This is among one of the most in-depth interview about Olivia's cancer and the treatment thereof by her husband John. I'm not sure why it is in black and white, maybe to illustrate the seriousness of the topic or just because it's a more flattering light.

Olivia talks about her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 1992, it's recurrence in 2013 and the most recent occurrences in 2017 and 2018. Cannabis, Olivia reveals has helped her deal with the pain and may be also helping with her cancer. She is realistic enough to believe that she can live well with cancer, keeping it at bay whilst not been able to destroy every cancer cell.

John talking about his personal history describes how he was inspired by Weekly Readers at school to travel to Peru. He began looking for treasure in the early 70s, which led to rainforest where he discovered the real treasure there was the herbs and plants.

Olivia and John also give us the low down about their long friendship and how they eventually became romantically involved.
