A lovely interview with Dick Cavett to promote Olivia's televised Physical concert which was premiering on Jan 23 1983 at 8pm (EST) on HBO. Olivia is so very relaxed and happy in this interview.
Describing the controversy surrounding the Physical song, Olivia says I think I was kinda of a scapegoat, it was such a radical change for me and I think they are in shock that I would come out with a song like that.
Dick mentions the worst rumour that has heard about Olivia in that she is seeing a man ten years her junior and asks Can you sue for that?
Olivia slaps his leg and laughs you're terrible
(of course this rumour is true!). A clever way for Dick to get Olivia to open up about her private life.

is another interesting segment. She describes them as very polite and that she does not have terribly many of them. During her Physical tour she brought a super-fan into her dressing room, he was wearing a T shirt with 50 photos of her and had 15 headbands hanging from his belt. He was so overawed that he started crying.
The interview ends wonderfully, Olivia teaching Dick some Physical
moves including jumping jacks and a body roll. Dick has a move for Olivia involving the pelvis which she refuses to do protesting Oh, you're a horror!
