Olivia was one of five celebrities to report on the environment for this Fox programme. The others being Carole King, Robert Wagner, Christopher Reed and Christie Brinkley. Olivia donated her time for free and also paid for her and then husband Matt's travel to Brazil. Olivia had recently been appointed the UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment.

Olivia reports from a dusty cattle ranch that four years ago was a rainforest. The program doesn't take a simplistic approach to the problem of deforestation recognising that an ordinary person is struggling to survive. In fact Olivia meets a couple whose baby has malaria, they have to travel for two days to get medicines. On a lighter note Olivia meets some of the animals there and tastes and drinks some of the plants.

She speaks to the expert Philip Fearnside about the rainforest providing medicines for the whole world. A subject that becomes very dear to Olivia's heart especially after marrying John Easterling.

There are more photos of Olivia's Amazon trip in 1993's Hello magazine.
